Guidelines for SSB Part 1

 INSTRUCTIONS FOR SSB INTERVIEW: SELECTION CENTRE SOUTH, BANGALORE 

Dear Candidate, 

1. Further to Notification issued by UPSC/Army HQ and published in Employment News/official website of UPSC/Army HQ. 

2. We are pleased to inform you that you are nominated to attend SSB interview at Selection Centre South, Bangalore. 

3. Candidates are required to report at Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Bangalore (SBC), Railway Station at 1400 hours (2 PM) on the dates given in the Call Up letter or as selected by the candidate. In case of train delay, candidate can report directly to the Selection Centre South, Bangalore by 1700hrs on the same day. Location map is given below. In case the candidate report earlier, they will have to stay under your own arrangements. Accommodation will be provided to the candidate only and not to anyone who accompanies the candidate (in case someone accompanies).

4. A representative of the SSB will be present at Movement Control Office (MCO) located at Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Bangalore (SBC), Railway Station, Platform No 1, near the out gate. Vehicle will be provided from Railway Station to SSB and back only. 

5. In case you arrive by air at Bangalore Airport, you can take a BMTC, Vayu Vajra Bus Route No 6 or 7A. Get down at Manipal Centre, which is 50 Mtrs away from Selection Centre South Bangalore (Ref Map). 

6. If you have any queries, please mention your Roll Number, Type of Entry, Course Serial Number, Call Up letter Number, Full Postal Address. MOBILE NUMBER AND E-MAIL ID should invariably be mentioned to enable this office to respond to your queries. Enquiries, if any, shall be entertained on all working days between 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs on Telephone/Fax Nos and E-Mail ID as mentioned on WWW.JOININDIANARMY.NIC.IN as the official website of Indian Army. 

7. Documents. You will bring following documents at the time of reporting for interview:- 

(a) One copy of the print out of online application duly signed and affixed with self attested photograph. (b) Original alongwith two self attested copies of 10th Class Marksheet & Matriculation or equivalence certificate issued by the Board concerned (CBSE/State Board/ICSCE) in which date of birth is reflected for proof of date of birth (Admit card/Marksheet/Transfer/Leaving Certificate are not acceptable for proof of date of birth). 

(c) Original alongwith two self attested copies of 12th class Certificate & Marksheet. 

(d) Original alongwith two self attested copies of Degree/ provisional Degree recognized by AIU. 

(e) Original alongwith two self attested copies of Marksheets of all Semesters. 

(f) Certificate from the Principal/ Head of the Institution stating that the candidate is in final year and final exams in respect of the candidate will be over by _________ (for final year appearing candidates) as per specimen attached at Appendix ‘A’. 

(g) All certificates in original. Originals will be returned after verification at the Service Selection Board ITSELF. Any candidate who does not carry these entire documents for the SSB interview, his candidature will be cancelled. 

(h) Photo ID Proofs. Any One of these ID proofs i.e. Election ID/ Driving license/ Pan card/ Aadhar Card as proof of your identity alongwith two photocopies of the same duly attested. .

(j) Residential Address Proof. Any One of these residence proofs i.e. Passport/ Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill (Landline)/ Ration Card/ Pass Book/ Utility Bill/ Rent Agreement as Proof of your Residential Address alongwith two photocopies of the same duly attested.

(k) Candidates Who Have Submitted Their Certificates and Mark Sheets in College or Institution for Pursuing Higher Studies. Please bring a bonafide certificate along with certified true copy of those documents as per specimen attached at Appendix ‘B’.

The Rajput Regiment

The  Rajput Regiment  is an infantry regiment of the Indian army. It is composed primarily of troops from the Rajput , and Gurjar community. In 1945, the class composition of the regiment was 50% Rajput and 50% Muslim. Most of the Rajput battalions saw action during the First World War. The 1st battalion fought at the Battle of Dujailah in Mesopatamia, where it was nearly annihilated. The 3rd battalion fought the Battles of Qurna and Kut-al-Amara against the Turks. In one of the battles the Turks had invaded both the flanks of the 3rd Rajput, during which Jemadar Sital Baksh was severely wounded. Sepoy Jhandu Singh rushed to his rescue, the Jemadar ordered him to leave him behind but the sepoy lifted him on his back and started moving through the marshlands.
